Israeli Arabs Try to Run Down Jewish Hitcher in Galilee

On Wednesday morning a chasidic hitch-hiker with peyot(side curls)and wearing a kipa and tzitzit(fringes)had to jump out of the way of a car that tried to run him down. On the road from Tiberius to Kiryat Shemona the hitcher was waiting for a ride in the pull off area next to a bus stop and at a reasonable distance from the road. Making a wide left turn from the new road to Tzfat, the Arabs first tried to run him down and then signaled to the hitcher as they past that it was an intentional act. The hitcher failed to get the license plate number and made no police report. He suggests that all hitchers pay attention and be prepared for attacks and to take license plate numbers. He said that the Israeli Arabs sent a clear message to him that the Galilee is no longer safe thanks to the latest capitulations to terror by the Sharon regime.
